Residential CAMPS
Three Week English Immersion Camp
Join us for this unique program designed for students to sharpen their English language skills, connect with peers, and enjoy a variety of choice-based afternoon summer camp activities. Students join non-residential English-speaking campers to fully immerse themselves in all that Summer at St. Andrew’s offers.
Our Residential English Immersion Program is available for students aged 11 to 17. The program includes evening activities, weekend excursions, and travel opportunities to Boston, as well as visits to local attractions.
ESL Classes and afternoon programs:
- Specialized ESL Classes: Led by trained teachers, students will sharpen their English alongside English-speaking peers.
- Join Afternoon Programs: Students will enjoy a variety of traditional camp activities such as art, chess, and sports—blending English learning with fun, hands-on opportunities to build connections in real-life settings.
Beyond Classes:
- Independent Exploration: Students can explore campus life—visiting the library, playing games, working out, or relaxing with friends. It’s a chance to connect, recharge, and enjoy our beautiful surroundings.
- Weekend Excursions: Weekend trips to Boston, Newport, and Providence feature historic tours, college visits, local cuisine, beaches, and plenty of adventure.
July 5-25, 2026. Ages 11-17
Program cost is $7,450.00, and includes Housing accommodations and all meals.
All day, evening, and weekend programming, including field trips and travel excursions.
Transportation to and from all day, evening, and weekend programming (excludes transportation to and from the airport).
Residential Chess Camp
Our Residential Chess Program welcomes students aged 11 to 17 for a fun and enriching summer experience that blends chess instruction with cultural exploration. Led by Chess Master Connections, participants build their skills through daily lessons in tactics, strategy, and creative play, while developing focus and sportsmanship. Evening activities, weekend trips, and city excursions round out a well-balanced program of learning, recreation, and friendship.
CHESS INSTRUCTION
Chess Master Connections, led by international champion Jorge Sammour-Hasbun, blends expert teaching with creativity and strategy. Trained by World Champion Mikhail Tal, Jorge is a two-time World Youth Champion, the youngest FIDE Master in history, the youngest U.S. Senior Master, and longtime coach of the Brown University Chess Team.
From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., students engage in chess instruction with the Chess Master Connections team, focusing on tactics, strategy, and critical thinking. Campers are grouped by ability for personalized learning, and movement breaks allow for outdoor activities and socializing. Afternoons and evenings feature group activities and relaxation time, including movie nights, snack-making, and outings like mini golf and beach trips, blending structured chess training with fun. Weekends offer excursions to Boston, Newport, and Providence, where students explore historic landmarks and local attractions while bonding with peers from around the world.
